Hepatitis Victoria is the peak not-for-profit community-based organisation working across the state for people affected by, or at risk of, viral hepatitis.

Purpose of the position

Working closely with the CEO and Programs and Operations Manager this role is responsible for the development and implementation of the organisation’s overarching communications and engagement strategy, including:

  • Building understanding and awareness of viral hepatitis.
  • Developing and implementing Hepatitis Victoria (HV)’s media strategy across all media, including press, broadcast and publications to raise HV’s profile and the programs and initiatives it undertakes.
  • Identifying and actioning engagement opportunities that further the organisation’s profile and reach.
  • Managing the writing and production of the organisation’s key publications (print and electronic) including the quarterly Good Liver magazine; Annual Report, HEPChat ebulletin, etc.
  • Managing and support to the Online and Digital Services Officer, monitoring and evaluating their activities and providing support with staff development.
