Description: Insignia Federal Group is a professional consulting firm headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Communications Manager with HIV/AIDS Public Health experience to support our client at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
This particular role focuses on the development and translation of HIV public health materials into persuasive, plain-language copy for America’s HIV Epidemic Analysis Dashboard (AHEAD). Recently launched, this site (ahead.hiv.gov) needs a seasoned communications professional with thorough knowledge of the HIV public health spectrum to draft and conduct quality reviews on digital materials such as executive-level presentations, blogs, website copy, social media messages, etc. Tone, voice, and understanding of HIV language sensitivities as well as compliance with established HHS writing style guides are of utmost importance.
As the managing communications point of contact for AHEAD, this individual will also coordinate with a multitude of cross-departmental groups, including graphic designers, researchers, federal partners, subcontractors, etc. and will be the representative for AHEAD communications, goals, and objectives within all executive-level, program-level, and external/public meetings.
