Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, the Community Engagement and Recruitment Manager is responsible for managing and advancing Project ACHIEVE’s community engagement activities and recruitment for research studies revolving around HIV and other infectious diseases.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manages, mentors, trains, develops and provides feedback to staff with emphasis on community partnerships, recruitment, volunteer development and integration with community education programs.
  • Develops and implements overall community engagement and study recruitment strategies both short- and long-term plans and goals to strengthen the programs relationships with key populations and partners and meet study recruitment enrollment targets.
  • Provides weekly status updates on recruitment activities, and prepares various enrollment reports
  • Maintains regular contact with interested agencies, even when recruitment for a specific study is not underway.
  • Works with study team to direct and complete data collection, timely data input, program evaluation and development, and reporting of results.
  • Builds partnerships with local and national organizations of Project ACHIEVE.
  • Maintains and updates website and social media accounts on relevant information including upcoming and past events and studies.

Qualifications

To qualify, you have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, along with 5 years of project management, working in community engagement activities, and working with diverse populations.  Experience should include community education, and recruitment on HIV prevention efforts, with connections to national networks and organizations in the HIV prevention field.
