The Community Liaison Worker is responsible for the implementation of an aggressive community health engagement and relationship development strategy to promote Opioid abuse and overdose awareness through the use of Naloxone.  The Community Liaison Worker will ensure all program expectations: OOPP certification, In-house and Off-Site trainings, distribution of Naloxone Kits, data collection and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

•    Attend 3-Hour Training of the Trainer (TOT) at the Harm Reduction Coalition;
•    Ensure all program expectations (e.g. updating OOPP certification, in-house and off-site trainings, distribution of Naloxone kits, data collection and reporting) are met;
•    Be accountable for quality assurance, achievement of deliverables, and timely invoicing; work with SA Services Director to ensure that the Naloxone Distribution Program is fully integrated into the Health Center’s Behavioral Health Services, which consists of comprehensive Mental Health Services and expanding Substance Abuse Services, inclusive of a new, federally-funded Opioid Abuse Treatment and Prevention;
•    Report directly to the Director of Substance Abuse Services, who will provide supervisory and training support as an in-kind contribution, and who will work in tandem with Community Liaison Worker to implement wide-scale naloxone awareness and utilization training among the Health Center’s 200 provider and support staff;
•    Ensure that the Naloxone Distribution Program works cooperatively with the Health Center’s Department of Marketing and Community Relations to conduct design and implement a patient in reach and community outreach plan;
•    Work cooperatively with in-house HIV/AIDS services, Hepatitis C program, school-based health center, halfway house, and Health Homes care coordination team.
•    Manage and monitor the training, scheduling, and placement of Peer Responders/Trainers;
•    Adhere to program Policy and Procedures Manual.
