Description:
Provides clinical social work and counseling functions for patients living with HIV and/or AIDS in the outpatient setting.

Education and Credentials Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Field (limited to sociology, public health, psychology) or an equivalent combination of both. Effective 07/15/18, newly employed employees are required to possess a Master’s degree in Social Work form a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Incumbents in the position or promoted into the position on the effective date will be required to be enrolled into the Master’s program within two years of the effective date to maintain the current position and the degree must be completed within five years from the date of employment or placement into the position.

Work Experience:
One year of previous experience with the provision of care coordination services to patients from underserved populations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Previous experience in social work and/or counseling patients living with HIV and/or AIDS.
