Founded in 1983 and one of the first AIDS organizations established in the United States, the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC) works to foster health, independence and dignity for people living with HIV/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis by providing care, support and housing.  ASGCC works to help reduce the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections through  prevention, education and testing services. ASGCC is at the forefront of the fight against the opioid epidemic which disproportionately affects the Cape Cod region.

The Director of Prevention and Screening is responsible for the successful implementation, management, and direction of all ASGCC prevention, education and testing programming. Program activities mainly target intravenous drug users (IDUs) and men who have sex with men (MSM) throughout the Cape. Major program components include The Provincetown Needle Exchange Program, The Men’s Health Project (which is MSM targeted outreach), all Harm Reduction services including Provincetown, Hyannis and Falmouth as well as all counseling and testing services for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections. Other programs include, but are not limited to, HIV/AIDS education for schools, municipalities and community organizations. 

Also required are excellent verbal (public speaking is a component of this position) written communication (grant writing and timely reporting of activities), organizational and interpersonal skills. Other requirements include demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction methods, experience with HIV/AIDS and epidemiology and experience supervising others.

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is a year-round, full-time position with benefits.
