POSITION SUMMARY: Incumbent is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, who holds Louisiana state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Responsible for patient check-ins and check-outs, collecting vitals and triaging urgent patients and phone calls. Collects laboratory samples in clinic as ordered, and assists with scheduling patients’ specialty appointments. Provides support to practitioners and is a member of the Care Team.

  • This position requires cooperation with the Agency’s Quality Improvement Program. This includes actively participating in all required trainings, and assisting in creating a culture of quality improvement at the Agency. Cooperation with the quality program will be an element considered as part of all performance evaluations.
  • This position requires cooperation with the Agency’s Compliance Program. This includes immediately reporting any concerns, actively participating in all required trainings, following HIPAA regulations, and assisting in creating a culture of compliance at the Agency. This also includes compliance with the written standards of the Compliance Program, and all applicable federal and state laws. Cooperation with the compliance program will be an element considered as part of all performance evaluations.
  • This position requires cooperation with CrescentCare Compliance policies and procedures that support its status as a “deemed” entity under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), specifically related to covered services, health center patients and FQHC-approved service delivery sites. CrescentCare provides guidance and training to assure that all practitioners are aware of services covered under its approved scope of services, the sites at which services may be provided, and the factors that define a CrescentCare patient. FTCA coverage requires that practitioners provide care within their defined scope of practice and as privileged by CrescentCare.
  • Failure to comply with the Agency’s Compliance Program, which may include the failure to report any conduct or event that potentially violates any laws or the Agency’s written compliance standards, will be met by the enforcement of disciplinary action, up to and including possible termination.
