Job Summary
Our House is a non-profit organization serving people living with HIV/AIDS. We currently have an open on-call CNA/caregiver position. Our House’s philosophy is rooted in harm reduction and includes compassionate communication and the building of a strong sense of community to inspire people living with HIV to live well.
Responsibilities and Duties
A caregiver/CNA is responsible for direct resident care (providing physical and emotional support), as well as environmental care of the facility. The caregiver/CNA works with the RN as a team to ensure that resident and facility needs are meet.
Hours/Work Days: Variable
Qualifications and Skills
- CPR Certified
- Must be responsible, dependable, flexible, and have good communication skills
- Motivated to work with persons with HIV/AIDS who require all levels of care
- Willing to work with persons with physical and emotional health challenges
- Knowledge to work within a harm reduction model of care
- Knowledge of transfer techniques and body mechanics
