JOB TITLE:  Program Director 

HOURS:  Full time (35 hours)

PROGRAM: Plymouth WIC 

SALARY: $70,000

OVERVIEW: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maternal & Child Health, the Program Director is responsible for the overall administration and management of Plymouth WIC program and its satellite/mobile locations. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

· Ensure and increase access to WIC services by identifying trends and issues, monitoring reports, evaluating, and making decisions based on data.

· Establish and build collaborative partnerships both externally and within HI South Shore and Plymouth Regional office team to maximize client access to all programs.

· Ensure high quality internal customer service and external vendor compliance.

· Plan, implement and evaluate program operations to ensure compliance with federal, state and HI policies and procedures.

· Develop outreach and referral networks in conjunction with community coordinator and senior nutritionist reflective of state WIC needs assessment priorities.

· Define and sets clear expectations for staff roles and responsibilities including setting schedules and hours of operation that reflect participant needs.

· Hire, evaluate, and provide regular supervision for senior nutritionist, outreach coordinator and program assistants, and assist senior nutritionist hire and evaluate nutrition staff.

· Ensure staff have up-to-date knowledge and skills by regular conducting regular staff.

· Act as liaison between the State WIC office and HI and with community providers

· Attend agency, WIC, and community meetings as required and appropriate.

REQUIRED  QUALIFICATIONS:  

· Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, or nutrition plus two years’ experience in program administration including supervisory experience; 

· Or Master’s degree and one year of experience in program administration including supervisory experience. 

· Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills; excellence in program planning and administration; cultural competency; trauma-informed approach to customer service; ability to plan, articulate, implement and evaluate program goals responsive to changing participant and community data. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

· Previous WIC experience and/or RD/LDN preferred. Bilingual Portuguese or Spanish a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Some travel in Southeastern Massachusetts is required. Valid MA driver’s license, auto registration and safe driving record needed.
