Summary/Objective
The Resident Monitor is responsible for ensuring safety and well-being of clients by providing direct supervision of clients through the implementation of the treatment program.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain safety and stability of treatment environment. Immediately reports to Shift Supervisor any situations or circumstances which may compromise the integrity of treatment effectiveness and the therapeutic environment
- Assist clients in recognizing and managing their emotions and thought processes, as well as providing insight on the application of all programming to client’s recovery
- Make timely referrals to clinical staff when clients do not appear to be responding positively to routine interventions
- Routinely and frequently observes, records and reports client behavior
- Communicate with clinical staff as necessary to implement treatment program
- Transport clients, as needed
- Supervise self-medication of clients and ensures proper medication tracking and documentation, as needed
- Monitor ingress and egress of clients and visitors
- Conduct various counts of clients
- Work directly with staff to coordinate program security, order and corrective actions
- Assist in other tasks, as assigned
