Job Summary:

The Women with Pride Coordinator will provide outreach, education, and linkage services as well as organize events, activities, social media presence, and groups for LBTQ+ Women. The Coordinator will manage and coordinate the LBT Health Directory.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities and services of Women with Pride to increase the support, health information, education, connection, and resource linkage of LBTQ+ women and their allies
  • Spearhead the regular reviewing, updating, expansion, and marketing of the LBT Health Directory
  • Ensure the effective provision of educational holistic-health events, workshops, presentations, movie screenings, social gatherings, and groups, including holistic health workshops for LBT Health Directory, Women’s History Month activities, Breast Cancer awareness, etc.
  • Coordinate the annual School Supply, and Holiday Toy Drives
  • Collaborate with Women-led and LGBTQ+ organizations on campus and in the community to meet the collective needs of LBTQ+ women
  • Organize outreach, promotion, and recruitment at LBTQ+ events, social venues, gatherings, and fairs
  • Coordinate strategic social media and marketing outreach for women’s events, groups, and activities in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager
  • Manage and maintain volunteer-driven Women with Pride Committee; Coordinate regular Women with Pride Committee activities, projects, initiatives, and meetings to ensure the pursuit of programmatic goals; Select community committee volunteer members based on skills and vision
  • Prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in program planning and implementation
  • Increase volunteer participation and empowerment for women’s programming
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Manager to ensure recruitment, training, supervision, evaluation, and recognition of volunteers necessary for activities, events, and outreach
  • Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to ensure proper logistics-planning for workshops, seminars, and events, adhering to the Events Planning Timeline
  • Ensure ongoing communication with culturally proficient providers so LBT Women’s Health Directory is updated, expanded, and marketed
  • Link LBTQ+ women to culturally- competent medical, mental health, social services, and groups as needed
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development to help organize fundraising drives to support Women with Pride and its programming
  • Help identify and engage new LBTQ+ Women’s donors committed to expanding and sustaining women’s programming
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop appropriate outreach/marketing materials
  • Coordinate programmatic, education, and outreach materials, including necessary inventory and orders, including printed materials, t-shirts, etc
  • Organize all necessary event logistics for scheduling, food, audio-visual, and childcare
  • Recruit, schedule, and manage appropriate speakers, presenters, exhibitors, facilitators, educators, health care providers, panel members, and social service representatives for workshops and seminars
  • Design, distribute, and collect self-report surveys at appropriate workshops and events to measure the increase in knowledge and access to service linkage
  • Record and track participant data and demographic information, including any pre- and post-surveys
  • Assist staff with evaluating the cultural competency and readiness of service providers to work with LBTQ+ women
  • Adhere to strict procedures of confidentiality, the release of information, and data security
  • Maintain accurate and complete participant records
  • Expand collaborations and partnerships with local service providers to ensure proper outreach, recruitment, education, and program provision for all events, programs, and services
  • Provide outreach, health education, and support in conjunction with other Pride Center teams and community members, including active leadership in major Center and community events
  • Develop close working relationships with internal team members and external agencies to ensure coordinated, comprehensive client services and to avoid duplication
  • Maintain an organized office space and professional communication standards, including the prompt return of emails and phone calls
  • Submit reports, invoices, receipts, and requests to the COO in a timely and organized manner
  • Meet regularly with CEO, COO, and other Staff for proper planning, reporting, and evaluation
  • Attend all “All Staff” meetings and trainings and appropriate “Leadership” staff meetings and trainings
  • Maintain an organized office space and professional communication standards, including prompt return of email and phone calls
  • Comply with The Pride Center Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook
  • Other activities as assigned by the COO or CEO

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Healthcare, or related field; OR equivalent direct experience in social work, education, or healthcare
  • Proven experience in social services, women’s services, event planning, outreach, education, and/or healthcare
  • Experience with and knowledge of LBTQ+ women’s community and issues
  • Exemplify and embrace The Pride Center’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
  • Demonstrated, seasoned experience in managing people and budgets
  • Experience in recruiting and organizing volunteers
  • Ability to train volunteers to accomplish duties and special projects
  • Technology skills with social networking sites, social media, and outreach to LGBTQ+ communities
  • Experience in using social media (including Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter) as an outreach tool
  • Computer skills using Microsoft software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), IOS, and other operating systems, as required. Experience with Apple preferred.

  • Attention to detail with an ability to not lose sight of the big picture

  • Bilingual/bicultural skills preferred
  • Must have use of a personal vehicle to perform outreach duties
  • Some nights and weekends required
