PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The Project Coordinator oversees the coordination and administration of Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. WIOA Youth Program, including planning, organizing, leading, and control project activities.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

 

  • Write reports on the project for Workforce Director and Program Manager
  • Coordinate with Workforce Director and Program Manager to ensure project deliverables as outlined in grant
  • Ensure that the project operate within the approved budget
  • Monitor and receive approve for all budgeted project expenditures
  • Ensure financial reports and supporting documentation for funders are prepared as outlined in grant agreement
  • Monitor the project activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the project evaluation framework
  • Report evaluation findings to the Workforce Director and Program Manager
  • Recommend changes to enhance the project, as appropriate

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of working with youth under WIOA or WIA
  • Knowledge of associated groups and/or issues related to the cyber security sector
  • Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

 

  • Plan the delivery of the overall project and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
  • Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization’s WIOA Youth Program
  • Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the project
  • Develop a project evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the project and to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop funding proposals for the project to ensure the continuous delivery of services
  • Ensure that project activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
  • Ensure that project activities comply with all relevant grant requirements and professional standards
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities
  • Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on the clients of the project for statistical purposes according to the confidentiality/privacy policy of the organization
  • Ensure all staff members and or youth program staff receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards
  • Assist Youth Program manager by providing program staff direction, input, and feedback
  • Assist in the administration of Occupational Skills Training for youth
  • Lead the WIOA Youth Progam Work Experience efforts
  • Liaise with businesses and industry sectors to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gain community support for youth program
  • Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
