the stigma of having Aids remains today , i still fear telling neighbors that i am positive. i have been known positive since the birth of my child feb 1983 . As a retired RN i looked to volunteer last sept in a local nursing home. I was unable to volunteer due to my Aids dx the general population conts to fear catching Aids . its no wonder that we are depressed. and lonely. there was more support from each other in the 80,s than there is today

I wish to become active in the role of political advocate. I have no "friend" to work with or overcome stigma, show important policies procedures for effective change.
