February 8, 2006—Roughly 18 percent of newly infected Americans between 16 and 24 years old have a strain that’s resistant to at least one HIV med, according to a study by the Adolescent Trials Network that was released yesterday at the 13th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections. Resistance rates were highest in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
