The Community HIV/AIDS Mobilization Project (CHAMP), in collaboration with several other activist and HIV/AIDS advocacy groups, announced today that it will hold a free HIV prevention research advocacy training workshop on December 2 in Atlanta (salsa.democracyinaction.org).

The training will be held before the National HIV Prevention Conference in Atlanta. It will feature an overview of HIV prevention research and its three major areas—biomedical, behavioral and structural. There will also be presentations from researchers and activists on various prevention research and advocacy topics.

The training session is an affiliated event of the Prevention Justice Mobilization, an initiative that aims to fight AIDS by raising awareness about social injustices associated with the disease.
