My concern is that I am currently taking Descovy for preventative measures against HIV. The new drugs from Gilead's Redesivir and Abbvie's lopinavir/ritonavir are potentials for treating COVID-19. Descovy has drug interactions with Tipranavir/ritonavir but there is no info on Redesivir or Lopinavir/Ritonavir. Will I not be able to be treated if these turn out to be a cure? How does one find out?

My partner and I live in Shanghai. He is positive and from a different province in China. However, the local government has said that people can go to the local CDC during this time if they are unable to make it their hometown for refills. While recently in Uzbekistan I met a Chinese person who was about to run out of medicine (because unable to return to China due to virus) but by the grace of an amazing local organization was able to get his meds.

"But doesn't rhino horn cure the new corona virus and every other illness known to man?", asked Joey. "Oh, no, no, no, no, no, it doesn't... It would be stupid to think that it did, let alone to buy it and fuel the destruction of a species", answered a grinning Chandler Bing.
