I am a Senior with very long-term HIV, and doing very well with that. Along the lines of this article, however, my doctor, internist and infectious disease specialist, has for some time now, shared with me that his greater concern for my health at this point is in preventing heart disease or stroke. Successful suppression of long-term HIV is a "done deal" for me, but my ongoing years make me quite vulnerable to other deadly illnesses...
