I understand that African-American gay/bi/MSM are at increased risk of HIV infection and commend the HRC and others want to create targeted educational materials for this subgroup. My question is: of the, say, 18-24 y.o. African-American gay/bi/MSM who have been diagnosed with HIV in the last 10 years, what percentage were students/former students of HBCUs? I'm guessing a VERY low percentage. I can think of other targeted interventions for this subgroup. HRC missing the mark yet again!!!

SidSidSid - You are absolutely correct that students of HBCUs represent a minute percentage of those at-risk for HIV. In addition, college students are not the socio-economic group at greatest risk. HRC would have made better use of its resources by creating strategies to reach the young African-American gay/bi/MSM who are not in school and also not working.
