Alice and I both knew David. I first met David at the Rose Garden Summer Theater series in the summer of 1977. I met Alice in August of the same year. She was wonderfully engaging, funny and packing us full of food after high school when treated to David's piano recital. He introduced me to ABBA, when I had only heard of Bernstein, Reinhardt & Grappelli and David Byrnes. True, sheltered but David opened my eyes to the thrill of the diversity of world music. Thanks for spoiling me so generously
