While every immune system is different but given the likelihood of new pos patients being young, their immune systems (like mine did some 30 yrs ago) can tolerate a few years or even ten in my case b4 toxic waste ruins your life-sorry it is what it is and you are a fool if u think this is chronically manageable illness, its a plague nothing less..Doctors and patients know best-of note cd4/8 ratios if it inverts (NORMAL IS 1.5 CD8/4) If it inverts to .7 or less I'd start regardless of CD4 levels.

I've been HIV pos. Since 2000 and been with the same man for 2 yrs or more now and we have not had any issues with our counts.
