Steven Johnson syndrome, yuk it sounds nasty. Presita list this as one of their side effects too. I have heard stories that this syndrome can engulf your whole body causeing havic on ones immune systems. It sounds like over dosing again by Docs for the body type and to bad the AIDS medical avisorys, who ever the are will not suggest titration drugs(slowly increase doses, why because their is only fix doses allowed) and doseing acording to body weight, etc to stop these over dosing of RX drugs

I just found out in October that I am Hiv positive. I started out on Atripla but had a severe allergic reaction...the worst rash ever. Now, my doctor has a combined therapy of Truvada & Isentress. I'm hopeful I don't break out in another rash. At the time I found out, my viral load was 5000 & my cd4 was 1361.

it has been said in the dinning room of GMHC nyc, people are not dying of AIDS. We might be blind, cripple and crazy, but we're not dying of AIDS. Isentress was part of my fourth HIV cocktail. however i got tired of being tired, so i am on a STI. but now i feel that i am not going to take anymore meds. its to hard...the side effects. i have not been disabled by the virus. but plauged by side effects. left disabled by the side effects since day one. till then no more overpriced meds for me.

This too!!! I have been dealing with HIV since 1987 and until the year 2000 been doing fairly well but had a low drop in TCElls and went on Disability. SAdly for whatever reason my Doctor failed me in checking for HEP C and it is now 11 years later and I am diagnosed with HIV/HEP C and Cirrosis of the liver starting Interferon next week. Multaq a drug prescribed for my heart is now recalled for causing LIVER DEATH. I was on it for 3 years. You must be in charge of u treatment and ASK QUESTION

I hear ya Kevin. I am just plain exhausted. since 1990 I have been dealing with this crap and have lost all of my friends and a husband. The drugs just keep on coming and I should be ecstatic but, I'm too f-ing tired to care. I'm ready for this to be over one way or another. At this point my body is so f-ed up I don't want a cure. I'm glad to hear an explanation for this incessant itching. What next ? Sorry, to be such a downer ya'll. Keep up the good work.

I have been on isentress for over 5 years. I have not noticed any problems. I can only hope that I wont as Isentress seems to be working with my other meds.

Thank-You for this story You may have saved my life. I had stopped Isentress after figuring out that it was the reason it made me feel so horrible and I was going to ask my Doctor if I should restart taking it.
