I am afraid I would have to agree with Patrick. Your only as safe as your partners honesty allows you to be...I am afraid bare backing is going to be around. Telling young guys not to believe their partner doesn't work until after you have been burned by one or two and learn. A cure well lets be honest they will probably find a vaccine before they cure it.

Heterosexual or homosexual, "Who in the world practices "safe sex" after being together 1 year or more?"

This war on bare backing will never be won. A cure is the only hope. These reports are a real snap shot of the reality that people do not like condoms. It's that plain and simple.

when the inevitable tide of of condom lectures is prepared in response to this news, perhaps those doing the lecturing could take at least 10 percent of that effort and apply it toward a serious and coordinated effort to produce condoms that feel far better, are far stronger and more readily available than any condoms around today, hmm? IF condoms will ever have any chance at universal acceptance, it will only happen when those 3 goals are met...ESPECIALLY the first one. as of now, condoms suck.
