In a stab at acknowledging all that the epidemic has robbed from the art world, Visual AIDS—a nonprofit that promotes AIDS awareness and provides support for artists with HIV—has for the past decade deemed December 1 a Day With(out) Art. On this day, POZ celebrates the work and mourns the loss of our own, including Kiki Mason, Scott O’Hara, David Feinberg, Michael Botkin, Steve Visscher, Niles Merton and David Peterson.
