I would like to know why there are no studies out there going on with people/men/women/who are having fat changes throughout there body???? I know it is not a great amount, and there are newer drugs that do not cause fat waist/gain; however, what about the existing people that still do. And what about the ones that do not respond well??? Any thoughts......????

I am a 20+ year survivor of HIV infection and live daily with the impact of facial wasting. I am a member of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group Network Community Advisory Board, the community voice in ACTG clinical trials. I do my best to keep the issue of side effects of current and past treatments on the radar screen because, just as this article documents, we have ongoing problems addressing the effects of facial wasting. I consider the high cost of the current options a barrier also.
