As a fellow hiv poz man, I agree with the police in charging Chambers with Assualt and Battery, possibly at the "Felony" stage. However, proving "Intent to Kill" is difficult because Chambers would have had to have a premeditated thought to "kill" the neighbor. As usual, ignorant police/law enforcement overreact to these situations which can later lead to a bad precedent for HIV poz citizens. Fear and ignorance is what gives the HIV community a bad rap and continued stigma.
