I wish there were some place that would help with the wasting in my face and the huge stomach I am now faced with, both have caused me to become a hermit and a recluse, I really don't see the point in taking these meds if you are dead inside!
I dont understand..if not a death sentence..how is 31 years salvage last resort anything to be proud of?there will never be a 100% cure..only failed prep..vaccines etc. . u win the battle. But not the war!!!
I met Nelson Vergel years and years ago at a forum in San Francisco. I still have my copy of Built to Survive too. Glad to know he's still around fighting the good fight. I'm over 30 years living with HIV myself. Undetectable for well over 10 years. Glad to be here despite the current political bs we are all witnessing!
I loved logging on and reading this article! I have not seen you in about 14 or 15 years since you spoke at a function in Tyler, Texas. Thank you for continually being brave and advocating for all of us!

It is good to talk about people like me diagnosed in 1983 I am on salvage meds for many years. with poor results. Only in the last few years they finally worked. Still i have massive lipodystrophy.
