Seriously!?!

How is this relevant to those of us with HIV? How is it beneficial for people without HIV to accept donations from a small, relatively seroprevalent group? This protest only benefits the egos of holier than thou, pearl clutching, HIV- who deny the virus in their backyard. The ban is based on common sense and history. I'm relieved it remains despite the demands of the PC police. "Activism" has been hijacked by yuppies. It now has no stake in either HIV welfare or public health.

Canada does not pay for blood, hence the term donation. However, this speaks to the still prevalent approach the str8 community takes towards us - we are acceptable so long as we are celibate and single. Well, seeing as the game is rigged, I'm going to take my balls and go home. A society that largely views us with scorn does not deserve our blood. I gave during my adolescence, in the emergency room, after having been beaten up by my father upon me coming out. The blood I have in me in mine.

How stupid. Who would be celibate for a year to donate blood. This is just a blood drive scheme to get cheap blood supplies coming in for their profits! Anybody can lie on a screening questionnaire and they know it and are trying to figure out how to cut costs on blood screening.
