let all the Condom Nazis take note, "99++% effective" is a FANTASY, and it ALWAYS HAS BEEN. this article pulls the punch far too much, the data shows that even amongst the SMALL subset of men who ALWAYS used a condom in the last 6 months, ONLY 16% of THAT subset always used a condom in the previous 4 years. WORSE, anything less than 100% condom use was little better than never using them. use a condom IF U CAN, try seropositioning, if ur neg try PrEP, if ur poz try TAsP. no one tool is perfect.

How is that possible? Used consistently and effectively (lube on the outside and inside of condoms, change condoms every 30 min), 1/1000 condoms break. How could that possibly only cut transmission rates by 70%. This sounds like bad patient reporting..." those who reported using condoms every time were 67 percent less likely to become HIV positive than those who never used condoms." If they used a condom every time, shouldn't they be 99.9% less likely to seroconvert? Where is this 67% from?
