Hi, I have hiv and hep C, I would like to try to get into a drug study with the new hep c drugs, but every time I inquire about it, they say you cannot have hiv for these studies! I am very anxious to get the new drugs! thanks for any help
I agree 100% with Luis R. Refusing to use what works and cures people NOW stinks. I have been waiting too long for Tx that does not involve INF or RIB. I will NEVER take either of those poisons. Gilead needs to do the right thing and put saving lives ahead of profits. They will make enough money and don't need to corner the market. It makes me so angry and THAT is not good for someone with a compromised liver. People are dying and so will many more while we wait. Shame on Big Pharma again.
I failed my interferon injections the first time around. We (my doctor and I) are waiting a while, it's been allmost 2 years now, before we try something again. With these new treatmeants becomeing available available, waiting seems to be the smart thing to do, as the drugs seem to get better and better. I congratulate all the hard working lab tecks who make these things possible.
This is as always, just a big hype. Gilead needs to do what's right and pair with BMS so most of the people infected with genotype 1 can be cured. Instead they are working on ways to make a profit not caring enough about who gets cured and who dies. Shame on big pharma!!!!
