I was just in a KMart,in mostly black neighborhood, that had deodorants locked up.I asked the saleslady why and she said"people steal it",the condoms were on the open shelves though come to think of it.I guess it really does just depend on what get stolen.

They do this in most downtrodenned areas in LA with the majority of toiletry items. I used to frequest a Vons when I lived in downtown LA and had to get a cashier every time to open the case to get a tube of tooth paste. The homeless problem is pretty bad in certain areas here and they like to steal small items of relative value that they can stuff easily into their pockets, condoms or not.
