After a needle stick during a altercation w/a patient with aids I was dx in March 1998 w/HIV. At that time I was told I had to disclose to HR and my direct supervisor of this status. I haven't worked in nursing since. I am now 69 and this is not of that much importance now but those were very lean yrs moneywise in which I lost everything. So, I ask, how long has this no tell policy been in effect?

HIV should not keep us out of the workforce. Nor should it sentence us to a lifetime of poverty.
