Greetings, I'm a Black woman 67.5 years of age, Wideo Mother and Grandmother of three, I am also an Elite Controller. Over 30 years HIV positive. Never an antiretroviral medication, Never sick. I am a Clinical Research Volunteer at NIH in Bethesda Maryland under Dr. Stephen Migueles. I am Committed to doing all that I can do to, Fight HIV!!! Living in my God given Pupose to help and heal. Until there is a Cure, I will be of service.
I have known Loreen for about 10 years now. She is truly an incredible woman and a gift to me and this community. She is a humble and caring soul and above all, selfless. (Especially in the the years I’ve known her and the contributions made to these studies). I am proud to see her beautiful face on the cover of POZ and say, “That’s my very special friend, Loreen!”
Over two decades later
I am a long term non progressor. Diagnosed July 17th 2002. I am very blessed to know this wonderful soul! Loreen helped me through the darkest time of my diagnosis. When you live in a small town, to find others who can help let alone be supportive is very rare. To this day I do not know of anyone else here like me. But with great people like loreen who are reaching out where they are needed, that is truly all this world really needs. Love you Loreen! ????
