Housing is a need & some U.S. metro areas are not doing as much as they could to create, sustain, or support adequate housing for any persons impacted by HIV. U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development subsidized housing for senior disabled persons, including HIV+ persons is a critical need. Adequate housing, in close proximity to clinics, hospital emergency rooms, retail marketplaces, & dependable public transit—limited equity housing coops might be a VERY VIABLE option for some.

The aging of gay men and those living with HIV is posing new challenges to all of us, from housing, health care services, social support and the ways we look at old age. In my book Queer Aging -- https://www.facebook.com/queeraging-- I document this via the stories of older gay men. https://www.amazon.com/Jesus-Ramirez-Valles/e/B005CLHN1Q?ref_=pe_1724030_132998060
