Thank you very much for a beautiful heartfelt article about Larry. I am glad he is back in GMHC. We all trying to fight at different levels, me, backstage, but Larry always was a presence that brought truth and controversies to the light and in many ways, thanks to him, we are where we are. The new generation needs to be involved in some level of activism to maintain our freedom. Larry.... KEEP Going. Lots of love.
It's time. It's time is now to begin anew. Larry Kramer & GMHC are synonymous...forever entwined.
I give 5 stars out of 5 to this article. I wish that poz.com will introduce a thumbs up, thumbs down and star rating for readers to give simple feedback on.
This is brilliant! And stories like this take me to the place of the epidemic I've never witnessed and only somewhat understand. This is how to teach some of us newbies what it was like and who the icons truly are. Thank you, Mark!

Thank you. I am a heterosexual middle aged female who only became aware of Mr. Kramer two years ago via "The Normal Heart" on HBO. Since then I have keenly followed up on him via media; his past and present. He is a role model to all, not just the gay community. Men of his mettle are seldom found, and I grieve that his body is mortal; my comfort is in the immortality of his body of work. I believe the ages will prove him to be the embodiment of heroism- long after HIV is eradicated from earth.
