I have recently applied for grant funding for my own orgnization and I have found it extremely disheartening that the increase towards HIV/AIDS in the US is less than what is being spent on a Global scale. Funding sources here are limited.Fix the problems here at home first. Many organizations are loosing their funding to help communities that desperately need help.Getting the right information to Pres. Obama is critical and the key to helping him understand our plight against this epidemic.

Let the money roll, I am surprise of the lack of advocay in the HIV comunity concerning Global AIDS .. Shame on the HIV advocate. To many adminisrators correct. Universial Health CARE with lower drug prices, where all people get healthcare, come out of the Box Poz people to help all in need and stop the set a side battles of different diseases, for it is time to unite and stop the self- fish AIDS Inc Movement. President Obama Keep your promises, Universal Healthcare for all Americans.

While it's somewhat disappointing that there is a reduction in worldwide AIDS funding, I'm also heartened by the increase in domestic funding, in both prevention and care for PLWA. I agree with some of the other comments that while there is an obvious need internationally, we also have a larger responsibility to those of us who are here in the US ... it's nice to see that a bit more of our tax dollars are staying here and not being exported. Now, the Prez just needs a national AIDS policy.

With the host of other problems we have to deal with in this country I'm surprised the Ryan White funding got the increase it did. There are MANY other people who need help that don't have the programs to turn to that PLWA do.Instead of bashing the President for trying to make it a little more equitable for everyone in need, try looking at the whole picture before you speak.Everyone deserves a little help IF THEY REALLY NEED IT.Wanting more doesn't mean you NEED more.Too many administrators!

We cannot be held responsible for the rest of the world and I get sick and tired of people always looking for the US to bail them out! When we provide care for all of the people in the US, than anything that is left over than we can give it to other countries. He has other issues that he has to address like joblessness and homelessness in this country and you cannot get well if you do not have a place to live.

I think it's about time more money is spent in the USA. I understand how bad it is else where, but it's not getting any better hear. We are not producing baby after baby like they do. Rick
