I take 3 meds that have no generic alternative. My copay is $90 for each med. Each generic med would only cost me $10 each. At that point I could eliminate the need for state assistance . It would save the state money and I would have a little more privacy and more pride that I could be totally self sufficient. I'll certainly give the generics a try.
