I have the CCR5delta32 mutation in my DNA, thus I don't have the receptors on the outside of my white blood cells that allows Smallpox, HIV/AIDS, Bubonic Plague (Black Death), or as far as I can tell Covid. I have never gotten it. Mother had an affair with the neighbor (while married) and he carried the mutation because both the mother and father have to have it to pass it on genetically. I got lucky, but was constantly beaten for being a b*st*rd. But, I'm 4x more likely to die from the Flu.

If CRISPR was used to develop vaccines for Covid, the what's the holdup for developing a cure for HIV? Is there no money in a cure? Is that the hold up? I ask only because I've been waiting 40 years for a cure, and I'm starting to get cranky.
