Mr. Carlini was my AP English teacher in high school about 40 years ago when much in polite society was tragically ignored and unspoken, he was exacting and wonderful, his teaching style helped me prepare for further studies, he showed how to recognize value in literature. i still think about him when i am in bookstores or selecting my next read--would Mr. Carlini approve? he gave me an incredible gift and i will always be grateful that i was a student of Mr. Carlini.

I would be delighted if we made contact again. I was recently reminded of him for some odd reason. Then saw the banner and had to....
