This is such a wonderful news, as I have been following GeoVax for a while, of course there are years of research ahead and there are no guarantees it's good to see that we can count not only on HAART but a less toxic treatment. Keep up the good work GeoVax, and good luck with your upcoming clinical trial.

What I don't get about this vaccine is that it was tested on primates soon after they were infected with HIV and will be tested on humans soon after HIV infection. Based on the normal course of HIV infection a majority of people are able to control their disease for many years after infection. How are they able to parse what benefits are due to the vaccine and what would be considered normal immune response?
