This article was right on with the information provided. It was very insightful. I just got back into a regular exercise program and I feel a lot better about it after reading this article. Thanks

Diagnosed with Hiv in 2004. AIDS in 2008. I was in the hospital 2 to three times a year since being diagnosed. Spent 2 and a half months in a nursing home. Started running and going to the gym. Ran first marathon in 2010. Running 4th marathon this October. I have not been in the hospital in 2 years! Regular exercise has worked for me tremendously!! I went from lying in a hospital bed to running around it in the mornings, came out after a month, and kept on running. Not an elite athlete!

I've been HIV positive since 1984. I exercise at least 2 days a week but try for 3 days a week. I whole heartedly believe that exercising has kept me super healthy since I've taken just about everything that the doctor has thrown at me including the nasty earlier drugs that cause lypoadistrophy and that remarkable AZT that I almsot overdosed on in the early days. Keep working out!

Unfortunate that one has to pay $31.50 to download the report. One would hope that it would be made available at no cost to those of who are over 50 and living with HIV/AIDS.

When you read the first part and the last part, this study tells you a whole lot about nothing. Then you can add that when you tell the enrollment clerk at any of our 3 local gyms U need an HIV designed workout program, they tell you that they cannot provide service to those with infectious diseases. blah. Just as bad as some of the doctors around here.
