Sadly, this story is a bit unbalanced. There are MANY AIDS activists that think Frieden is a great choice to head the CDC. A NY Times blog had many supportive comments (cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/some-aids-advocates-oppose-frieden-for-cdc-post/), including from Dr. Roy Gulick, Harlem United Community AIDS Center, Dr. Don Des Jarlais, Debra Fraser-Howze, and others.
