I have just completed my 11th week of the 48 week treatment of peginterferon and ribavirin. My hep C (geneotype 1) viral load is "undetectable" and my liver enzymes are "normal." Before starting treatment I did extensive research on hep C and treatment. I made the decision to go forward with treatment because I was concerned about the damage that the virus had already done to my liver. For me, waiting seemed too risky.The treatment is tough but I am thrilled with the results.
