How come one assailant got 17 years and the other 55? They were both committing the crime together. OK their histories of crimes would have been taken into account but still such a wide sentense difference? Mind you, saying that, if this crime had happened in the UK the perpetrators would have more likely got 6 and 12 years respectively and each would serve half of that time. And if it had happened in Zimbabwe or Russia then it might not have even gone to court. The UK is too soft on criminals.
