This article is intellectually dishonest to say the least. DDI (Videx), D4T (Zerit), DDC (Hivid) are highly neurotoxic drugs and are not only associated with peripheral neuropathy, but also associated with damage to the central nervous system -- including brain damage. Remember those hiv patients with panic attacks? Those panic attacks are caused from these neurotoxic medications attacking regions in the brain associated with panic. As usual, US medical community lies to cover up liability.

With a Trig 382 (10-140 mg/dl), certainly this hypertriglyceridemia contributes as a risk factor to my peripheral neuropathy.
