I hv been positive for almost 27 years and still to this day hv not disclosed my status to most of my friends and family. WHY? For the same reasons you speak of. Yes im still in the HIV CLOSET and its very hard. Tku for yr article. I am writing my story dont even know if anybody wd care to read it. I am on a study right now tht addresses STIGMA. Im still trying to come to terms with trying to disclose. Its a very lonely life for me in the past years. But im still here. Just turned 60. Tku
Thank you, Joel. I have had HIV for 16 years and have only told my partner and my medical team. The response to Pintauro's revelation scared me to death. We won't survive as a community if we continue to "eat our young." I appreciate your commentary.
Mr Goldman, thank you for standing up for HIV people in your circles. HIV educational are harden in AIDS Inc for one told a young man that now you will spend the rest life alone. However. AIDS is big business and you speak for 1 percent of the folk that eat well, gifted by education and great healthcare. The pain of healing and process cannot be sugar coated, I believe. Not much to add here that can fit under 500 characters, except I'd much sooner have Danny speak for me the pack of jackals who started circling him. From what I'm reading, I get the impression I'm not the only one. Maybe we should take a good long look at Danny's most vocal critics.
