Insurance companies still discriminate against people with HIV. Actuarial tables show this to be wrong, and other countries have intervened to stop this. Poz doesn’t discuss this though because Poz doesn’t give a sh!t about anyone actually living with HIV.

So, insurance is no longer insurance, apparently. If companies cannot assess risk and choose accordingly, they are not insurance companies.
This does not happen in Canada. There is another way, Americans.

@TXKeith Life insurance companies also used to discriminate against Black men due to "risk" of earlier death. That was deemed illegal and they had to stop doing that. In the case of PrEP, the person is actually trying to reduce their risks of death and disability by taking a prophylaxis. But the company is just seeing it as an "HIV drug" and/or an indication of risky sexual behavior. Their circular logic is just impossible to justify.
