The medical community has never studied the adverse long-term physical, sexual, emotional or self-esteem consequences of newborn circumcision. Affected men are documenting this harm on their own (www.CircumcisionHarm.org). Those who believe this is a human rights issue are supporting Attorneys for the Rights of the Child (www.arclaw.org)

Thanks to Jordan Sang for a great article. While many writers concerned with HIV are Kool-Aid drinkers, Jordan has taken a hard look at the evidence. The studies purporting to show a benefit were deeply flawed, and reported their numbers in rosy light, rather than the standard number needed to treat (NNT). The studies failed to account for the source of the infections that occurred, suffered from lead-time bias, and where stopped early--as soon as they got the answer they were fishing for.
