This woman is the longest living person in the world with this disease and all glory goes to God. Another true blessing

I doubt very much that he's been cured of it, Dawn, but you make an excellent point about the need to study long infected sex workers in Africa who have never become ill. All that this article does is remind us that anyone of any age can become infected with HIV.

Furthermore, this person is not “living with HIV”. His vital loads are undetectable. He may well have been cured of the infection. I’m more interested in the cases of women in Africa who are sex workers, with active infection and measurable viral loads, who have never become ill in spite of no treatment.

This article although great was a little decieving to me, or shall i say i was expecting something different I mean i commend him for his longevity. But im thinking the article is going to address the oldest in terms of years diagnoised. He was just diagnoiswd in 2004 .It also talks of giving folk hope living with HIV to live long lives but he had longevity before he contracted hiv and his body hasnt endured years of hiv meds and other hiv related ailments like may long term thriver s have .
