This is a problem they have know about for probably 10 years or more ..its not something new and shocking. I used to weight around 145..since Ive been ARV for 16 years my weight has gone up gradually to 200 lbs. I dont eat a lot the weight just seems to come on..almost on its own. My provider suggested Egrifta (which is not covered by ADAP)..my share of cost for that would be around 500.00 per month..and it only helps with about 7% of the weight loss. They dont seem to have anything else.

Cinciskeet... The numbers represent roughly the numbers of men and women who are HIV positive ensuring the study had accurate results...the study was on the entire population of HIV positive people. The purity police are not needed here you can relax.

I had gain 20+ pounds they put me on metformin in December. I lost weight and keep losing at least a pound in a half a day. Just wish I can lose my gut. Will be talking to my doctor about that in September.

Dismayed that they did a study that has no solutions to the problem they were studying.
