Wish I where living in community that was more diverse.the story I just read touches on so many familiar feeling and actions with in my life going back in the early 80s losses of so many actually all my hiv friends yes I’m a survivor but not with out illness and near death I still struggle with everything you had touch on hope to find that therapist that fits with the challenges I need help with reading this helps me get back on track thanks

an excellent interview! I am 59 years, and I tested positive as a grad student in clinical psych in 1985 when the test first came out. Like a Mack truck it hit- the letter via USPS Delivered the DX. I graduated, worked 27 years, buried many, never sick.I celebrated Stonewall 25 at age 34 and with joy, will visit NYC for Stonewall 50! Oh, and at age 18 I saw my first Broadway show With my HS Drama Class: “ A Chorus Line.” A lifesaver for a gay boy in a culture that wiped us out. God Bless!

As a looooong time survivor, I also concur that LONELINESS is a big part. Other parts are simplistic unsolicited advice and the long forms, forms, forms that have to done by certain deadline but your mind and body are not cooperating.Sometimes I just want to and NEED sleep but deadlines and forms are looming over me
